About the ProjectThe City of Sanger has partnered with Shannon Baker, a graduate student at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, to update the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Parks and Recreation Master plan is the guiding document for future parks and recreation planning and maintenance. The last update was conducted in 2006. The goal of this plan will be to review and improve the previous plan. Public input is vital in creating a plan that reflects the needs and wants of the community. About ShannonShannon Baker is a graduate student in the City and Regional Planning (CRP) Department at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Shannon is working with the City of Sanger to update the Parks & Recreation Master Plan for her graduate Master's project. Shannon has experience working on community plans in multiple capacities. She assisted in writing a public space plan for a small town on the central coast, has worked on the General Plan update for the City of Wasco in the central valley, and has worked on several projects and reports in the CRP program. Shannon also has experience coordinating several outreach efforts for these plans. She also has professional experience working for planning departments in Santa Barbara County.
Shannon is passionate about planning, health, and community involvement. She is excited to work with the City of Sanger to create a plan to maintain and improve parks and recreation facilities. |
